Freshwater Moray Eel Part 2
A Moray Eel is lives in freshwater. This type of eel is not available at all pet
shops. Taking care of freshwater Moray Eel is really difficult. These grow up to
60 cm. So your aquarium should be really big to have one. Mostly a 540 L
aquarium is used. Feeding food is also another important task for you to keep
the freshwater Moray Eel alive. You have to make a nice home for them to live.
Many of them find it difficult to maintain Moral Eel’s; it makes them
uncomfortable to live in a bad environment. It would be really nice if you keep
many hiding places. Lace rock can also be used to make a hiding place. Seeing
the fish gives us a great pleasure, but for the Moray Eel it does not like that.
It likes to hide to feel secure. Smaller eel’s can be fed twice a week but
larger eel’s can be fed for once a week. Decorating your tank is also an
interesting part.
Clean your tank before filling it with fresh water. Make sure you keep the tank
clean and change the water regularly. Actually Freshwater Moray Eel is not a
fresh water fish. It lives in saltwater or brackish water. There had been issues
regarding its environment. Mostly using Moray Eel’s in the same tank is
preferable as it will eat the other fish’s with ease.
If you think of filling it up with other species, then scats, puffers are
recommended. Large eel’s are recommended for their partners. It will give a nice
touch to your aquarium. If you satisfy its requirements, then the life of the
eel’s will be long. This is really important in any aspect. They can live for
more than 30 years. It’s up to you to take care.
