Moray Eel Attacking a Scuba Diver
Just for curiosity we have received many emails from visitors of this website
requesting to see a video of a moray eel attack, well we were able to find a
video from a scuba diver that was attacked from a moray eel, as you can see on
the end of the video (very graphic) the attack left the scuba diver with a lot
of damage in his had. This is the video:
As you can see the video begins with the scuba divers filming a moray eel, the
eel seemed to be very big and it had big sharp teeth. As the video continues
they give the moray eel food and they actually touch the video, the moray eel
seems a bit aggressive at the start but it calms down and they give the eel more
food. There is a part on the video where the scuba diver gets so close to the
moray eel that his thumb is very close to the eels mouth but the animal does not
seem to want to attack the person. As the video progresses you can see the two
divers getting closer and closer to the eel, they seem not to worry about
getting bitten by the eel as they touch the eels face and other parts.
Also as you can see the divers made several mistakes, there is a part of the
video where the moray eels gets very close to the divers hand, the divers keep
on playing with the eel until it happens, one of the moray eels attacks the
diver, you can see on the video when the diver is trying to remove the eel that
is biting his thumb. There was actually a lot of damage done to the skin and the
divers finger but he did not lose it, he recovered but you can see in the video
that the divers thumb does not look like a regular thumb, that was thanks to the
moray eel.
