Moray Eel Food
So now you have your own moray eel or simply are curious about what type of food
can moray eels eat, well each specie has different diet and they eat different
food, some like certain fish, others like crab, etc but in general moray eels
like almost any type of sea food, remember that moray eels are hunters but they
have very poor eye sight, so they usually like to hunt for slower fish and
shrimp, one thing that a lot of people do not know specially if you own a moray
eel as a pet is that moray eels like to eat live fresh food, if they are in a
tank and you feed them dead pieces of fish or any other thing they might not
like it, there is something called feeder fishes, they usually like them a lot
and they are very good for the moray eel.
When giving food to your moray eel it might be a good idea to talk to the person
or the pet store where you bought it from, they can tell you exactly what type
of food that specie of moray eel likes, remember that moray eels are very
shy and they usually hide in rocks and there have been cases where moray eel
starve to death because they do not want to eat what is available for them.
But in general any type of sea food will do the trick, moray eels like to
explore their area and hunt for their food, find good sea food and put it at the
bottom of the tank and the moray eel will find it and eat it.
